Clausehound’s partner organization, StartupHere Toronto, has announced that the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario have continued to support startups in Toronto by extending equity-free grants to a number of small businesses.
Graduates of The Founder Institutes’ Toronto 2017 program will qualify for $5,000 equity-free grants to help build develop their startup businesses. Since first launching in Toronto in 2014, the Founder Institute has helped create over 70 technology startups in the City. Mayor John Tory noted that “Toronto’s technology community continues to grow and build companies that are solving local and global problems” as a result of programs like The Founder Institute.
